The gamble that Lloyd's of London took when it paid Movieman William Goetz a $250,000 insurance claim and took possession of his crippled sprinter, Your Host (TIME, April 9), looked as though it was going to pay off. Last week the four-year-old stallion was feeling chipper enough to get a new pair of shoes for the first time since he fractured four bones in his right elbow in a racing spill early this year.
