After reading that King Farouk was an avid butterfly collector, Dr. Lloyd E. Alexander, head of the biology department at Kentucky State College for Negroes in Frankfort, wrote a letter to Cairo. Could the King spare some of his royal bugs and butterflies for the college collection?
