Education: Fair Harvest

At a time when most universities were bitterly complaining about their dwindling gifts, Harvard's news looked big. In the last quarter of 1949, it reported last week, the university received $2,749,007 in gifts. Fair Harvard had to admit, however, that this was only a fair harvest for 90 days. The previous quarter's total: more than $9,000,000.
