To many a jungle-slogging G.I., Bridgeport Brass Co.'s DDT bug bomb was almost as good a friend as his rifle. When the war ended, the company dressed up its Aer-a-sol (DDT expelled by Freon gas) dispenser in civilian clothes, and struck a retail bonanza. Last week Bridgeport Brass thought it saw more pay dirt; it planned to apply the Aer-a-sol principle to dozens of other products.
The company has already put out an Aer-a-sol dispenser to spray a protective plastic coating on metal, leather and other shiny surfaces ($2.95 for the 12-oz. size); another releases a phfft! of chemicals...
