Children who get sick from such allergic conditions as hay fever, asthma and eczema may be like the little boy in Lewis Carroll's jingle ("And beat him when he sneezes: He only does it to annoy, Because he knows it teases"). Children sometimes enjoy their parents' annoyance, according to Allergist Hyman Miller and Psychologist Dorothy W. Baruch, both of Beverly Hills, Calif. Miller and Baruch have finished a study of 90 children with allergies and 53 others without allergies. Last week they reported some of their findings to the American Orthopsychiatric Association's annual meeting in Chicago's Hotel Stevens.
