Owning up to the fact that it had been a bad boy, the War Assets Administration last week grabbed itself by the scruff of the neck, and shook itself violently. It shook out 32 out of 89 key employes in one of its major sales divisions and canceled 32 contracts to sell goods at a commission of 10% plus sales costs. In the future, said WAA, agents would get only a fixed fee (30 to 35%) and pay their own costs. One reason: an agent had charged WAA several thousands of dollars...
