Said he: "When I left Mr. Roosevelt at the train [five nights before the Democratic convention in Chicago] he pulled me down and whispered in my ear—'Henry, I hope it's the same old ticket.' " Asked if he thought he had received a double cross, Henry burst out into loud laughter, but said nothing more.
