A year has passed since George Plummer McNear Jr. lost his fight against the Railroad Brotherhoods, and in doing so lost his Toledo, Peoria & Western Railroad to Government operation (TIME, May 18, 1942).

Now, from the files of the Interstate Commerce Commission, Railroader McNear has been able to compare the results of Government operations v. his own management.
