In 1929 the arbitrary figure* known as the U.S. national income was $82½ billions. Last year it reached $92 billions. Last week the Department of Commerce reported it in March 1942 it was running at the rate of $106 billions annually.

The total of salaries, wages and dividends paid out to U.S. citizens.
