Sport: Latest Casualty

The latest sporting event which World War II has knocked out is the world's toughest outboard motorboat race: the annual May marathon down the Hudson from Albany to Manhattan (136 miles). Cause: the Eastern Seaboard's new gasoline regulations.

Most of the 70-odd entrants had long ago laid in their supply of special racing fuel, but officials of the Middle Atlantic Outboard Association last week agreed that use of the gas would be a violation of the spirit of the Government edict.
