Religion: Loud-Speakers in St. Peter's

Along the marble walls of vast, echoing St. Peter's, Rome, Vatican engineers last week strung the wires for 40 loudspeakers, so that the 40,000 Catholic faithful who jam the Pope's basilica on high festivals may hear his voice. Pius XII will first use the new system on Nov. 24, when he will say a special Mass for peace, to be followed by a world-wide broadcast on the war.
