It was watched by Clark Gable & Carole Lombard, Tyrone Power & Sonja Henie, Robert Taylor & Barbara Stanwyck. It caused Constance Bennett to screech and Darryl Zanuck to wear his Tyrolean hat. Ringside seats at Wrigley Field cost $100.* It was enhanced by an airplane with a streamer advertising Kid Galahad (TIME, May 31).
