¶Passed a House resolution appropriating $18,000,000 for Social Security grants to various States, sent it to the President.

¶Passed a resolution appropriating $1,500,000 for San Francisco's 1939 World's Fair. Introduced in the House few days before was a bill appropriating $3,000,000 for New York's 1939 World's Fair, as a substitute for the $5,000,000 bill that President Roosevelt vetoed last fortnight (TIME, May 24).

¶ Ratified a most-favored-nation treaty with Greece, sent it to the President.
