¶ In Calumet, Mich, last week Rev. Joseph Alderic Paquet of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church declared that during mass he had unlocked the tabernacle on his altar, uncovered a ciborium to distribute Communion. To his amazement three fresh roses fell out, moistly spotted with what appeared to be blood. Father Paquet called the occurrence "mysterious" if not "miraculous."
