Six bombs from a trimotored monoplane of unknown nationality flying above The High Seas 38 miles off the coast of Spain last week were loosed upon the U. S. destroyer Kane which was flying the Stars & Stripes at her mainmast and had an enormous U. S. flag spread flat on top of her well-deck awning. All six bombs missed their mark.
