In Chicago last week, Barney Balaban, Chicago cinemagnate (Balaban & Katz theatres) was enjoined by Knute and Emil Hulquist, operators of the Chicago Theatre (burlesque), from using the title "Chicago Theatre" for his gaudy nine-year-old, $5,000,000 cinemansion. In the course of the proceedings Mr. Balaban referred to the 250-seater burlesque house as a "shooting gallery," where "females of the grosser type prevail."
