Nine acres of ground facing Lake Michigan in downtown Chicago, one mile from the Loop, will be converted into $10,000,000 worth of buildings and campus, and will constitute the downtown division of the university. James Gamble Rogers is the architect. He designed the Harkness Memorial Quadrangle at Yale University.
