Foreign News: Mediation

There is no hope at present of the United States Government offering mediation between the French and Germans. It is not even sure that America would be willing to undertake the task, if asked; just now the French would certainly consider it an unfriendly action. The British Government, yielding to political pressure, may suggest that a settlement be decided by an impartial court or the League of Nations.
