Admiral Baron Kato, simultaneously Prime Minister and Minister of the
Navy, is about to shed one of his offices. The Imperial Government
has decided to appoint a separate chief of marine.
Despatches from Tokyo state that Vice-Admiral Sunyuki, commander of the
Kure naval station and formerely Vice Minister of the Navy under
Kato, will be appointed to the post.
