It was "Randy Matson Day" in College Station, Texas, last week, and Texas A. & M.'s best-known student was a little embarrassed by all the fuss. "I haven't felt so much pressure since the Olympics," he said. Whereupon he stepped into the shotput ring and, on his first try, heaved the 16-lb. metal ball 71 ft. 5½ in. — breaking his own world record by a fantastic 10½ in.
