The Army drum and bugle corps blared an ear-splitting fanfare, the Navy Band came in on cue, and an Army detachment fired a 21-gun salute. Iran's Shahanshah (King of Kings), His Imperial Majesty Mohammed Reza Pahlevi, was properly impressed by the pomp, but his visit to Washington last week was no pleasure trip.
