Three Republicans last week apparently won political seats—one way or another.

> In Minnesota, nearly a month after Election Day, the canvassing board, acting on a state Supreme Court order, declared Republican Governor Elmer L. Andersen, 53, the winner over Democratic-Farmer-Labor Lieutenant Governor Karl Rolvaag by 142 votes out of 1,246,536 cast. Rolvaag is demanding a recount.
