In two days the Aussies smashed three world records: Dawn Fraser lowered her own women's 110-yd. freestyle mark to 59.6 sec., and anchored Australia's 440-yd. relay team to a record 4 min. 11.1 sec. clocking; Murray Rose paced the men to a record 8 min. 13.5 sec. for the 880-yd. relay.
