Nebraska: Ikemen at Work

Ever since he left Washington, Dwight Eisenhower has been encouraging his former Cabinet members to stay active in politics and even to run for office. First to heed the advice was Labor Secretary James Mitchell, who ran for Governor of New Jersey and was defeated by Democrat Richard Hughes (TIME, Nov. 17). Last week a second Ike teammate announced he would make the try. In Lincoln, Neb., former Interior Secretary Fred A.
