Reciprocal Agreement. In Sioux Falls, S. Dak., the post office received a letter addressed "To a Nice Boy," with the message: "Dear Boy: I will correspond with you. I am a girl. I am 14 years. I live in Holland on an island in the North Sea. I hope you are a boy."

Majority Rule. In Democratic Atlanta, Republican Lawyer Henry Alexander twice erected a large billboard on his estate urging Southerners to vote Republican, both times found it sawed in half by dissenters.
