Out as executive editor and top-ranking man on the news side: George A. Cornish, 58, a Tribune veteran of 37 years, taking the title with him. In as the paper's new managing editor and vice president: Fendall Winston Yerxa, 46, the Trib's city editor for three years before he left the city room on 41st Street.
