In its quadrennial poll of where U.S. newspapers stand editorially on the presidential candidates, Editor & Publisher last week totted up a sampling from half the nation's dailies:
For Eisenhower: 525 papers (circ. 18,121,173), or 59.5% v. 67.34% in 1952.
For Stevenson: 152 papers (circ. 3,965,035), or 17.2% v. 14.52%.
Undecided or Neutral: 206 papers (6,573,911), or 23.3% v. 18.14%.
