U.S. newspaper publishers, squeezed by another boost ($10 a ton) in the
price of Canadian newsprint, have had no choice but to boost prices.
Last week the Associated Press reported that in the month since the
increase, 57 dailies in more than 40 cities have already raised their
daily or Sunday prices anywhere from 1¢ to 5¢.
