¶ American University in Washington, D.C. took a hard look at reality in the nation's capital, announced a new course in ghostwriting.

¶ After a "spot survey" of Oxford students, the undergraduate Isis concluded that modern Oxonians are as poor as church mice. The average student gets £336 ($940.80) in income and allowance, pays out £230 ($644) for college fees, has only £106 ($296.80) left for clothes, travel, incidentals. As a result, says the Isis, two out of every three Oxford men must now work during vacations.
