Mrs. Sophie Eisenberg, an ardent hockey fan, was engrossed in a telecast from Madison Square Garden of a game be tween Montreal's Canadiens and the New York Rangers. She was particularly interested, she said later in federal court be cause her friend and fellow fan, Jonas Walvisch, had promised to wave to her from a front-row seat. On her 10-inch screen, said Mrs. Eisenberg, she saw Canadiens Player Emile Bouchard clout Jonas on the head with a hockey stick just as her friend leaned forward to wave Asked the defendant's attorney: "Did you wave back?" Answered Mrs. Eisenberg: Of course not."
