Cinema: Box Office

In less than two months, 20th Century-Fox's The Robe in CinemaScope (TIME, Sept. 28) has shot to the top of Hollywood's moneymaking list. Playing thus far in only 59 movie houses around the U.S., the $4,500,000 picture has already grossed, says Fox, about $6,500,000. Runners-up for October's big money, according to the trade sheet Variety:

6) Blowing Wild (Warner).

7) Martin Luther (Independent).
