The 110-year-old Enquirer, Cincinnati's leading daily and its only morning and Sunday newspaper, was sold last week for $7,500,000. The buyer: Cincinnati's afternoon Times-Star (circ. 150,489), published by 74-year-old Hulbert Taft, whose cousin, Senator Bob Taft, owns 5% of the paper (TIME, Jan. 14). The Enquirer (circ. 185,283 daily, 269,415 Sunday) has been held in trust by Washington's American Security & Trust Co. since Owner John R.
