Youthful Bounce. In Jackson, Miss., a notice appeared on the clubhouse bulletin board at the New Municipal golf course: "MEMO. All you younger men who do not have money in the banks, please do not cash checks here."

Inside Job. In Bangor, Me., Earl Raymond Gray was sent to prison for stealing $1,200 which he had used to set up a detective agency.

As Advertised. In San Diego, the owner of a used car lot reported to police that a 1939 Buick convertible coupe with a sign reading "You Can Steal This One From Us" had been stolen.
