If there is an air raid warning :

¶Put out fires, turn off fuel, electricity, gas. Close all doors, windows, draw curtains, draperies. go to the basement. If there is no basement, get in center hall. Cover neck, head, arms against flying glass, heat and radiation.

¶If outside, run for the nearest shelter—underground or inside a building. If driving, pull to the curb, leave keys so the car can be moved, and head for shelter. If there is no warning but the burst of the bomb:
