¶ Chicago White Sox Coach Ray Berres was disgusted: Starter Bob Keegan refused to relax between pitches, even during pregame warmup. Coach Berres was afraid visiting Washington Senator batters would pick up the rapid rhythm and tee off on the aging (36) righthander. But Keegan was afraid that if he slowed down he would lose his balance and fall off the mound on his follow through.
