¶ Enrollments have reached an alltime high in both Protestant and Catholic elementary schools, according to a survey made by the National Council of the Churches of Christ. In 15 years, enrollments in the nation's 3,000 Protestant schools have jumped 61% to 186,000; Catholic enrollments are up 35% to more than 3,000,000.
