LABOR: Chink in the Wall?

In Washington, Federal Judge Ben Moore opened a chink in the Taft-Hartley Act this week. He ruled that the act's ban against labor unions spending funds for political purposes was an "unconstitutional abridgement" of civil rights, and dismissed a test case against Phil Murray (TIME, Feb. 23). Next stop: the Supreme Court.
