Perennial best-seller though it is, the Bible should be more widely read. So thinks California's young, able Representative Jerry Voorhis. On the floor of the House last week he introduced a resolution to set aside the days between Thanksgiving and Christmas as a time for nation wide Bible-reading. Congressman Voorhis' reason for wanting an official stamp on such a private activity: "in order that 'in God we trust,' as an expression of our national life, may hold new and vital meaning for all our citizens."
