John O'Donnell, Washington columnist for the New York Daily News, who hates the New Deal and loves to gloat, found something to gloat about last week. Having just read a supplement to the ardently internationalist New Republic taxing Thomas E. Dewey with onetime isolationist leanings and general inconsistency in foreign policy, Columnist O'Donnell had dug out of the files a 1935 statement by the same weekly.
