Allied prisoners of war at camps in
Yokohama and Shishagawa were visited last week by a Tokyo
representative of the Red Cross. Conditions: "Comparatively
satisfactory." Rations: chiefly rice, with some bread, vegetables and
fish. Health: some prisoners were suffering from tropical diseases;
"medical treatment is handicapped by a lack of medicaments."
