The First Pan American Games will be held at Buenos Aires next yearwinter sports in July, others from Nov. 21 to Dec. 6. In Manhattan last week 200 U.S. sport leaders gathered to formulate plans for U.S. participation.
As a special sideshow to these "Little Olympics," the Argentina Auto Club has challenged U.S. auto racers to a 14,000-mile dash from Washington to Buenos Airesvia the Pan American Highway to Mexico City and Panama, by boat to Venezuela, thence through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and across the Andes to Buenos Aires.
