By short-wave hookup last week two guest experts in London took part in Information Please. Chief charm of the broadcast: the spectral transatlantic ho-hoing of Leslie Howard. Actor Howard had reason to laugh. He failed to recognize the opening and closing lines of Shaw's Pygmalion, in the movie version of which he starred. His London sidekick, John Gunther, fared little better. Author of Inside Latin America (TIME, Nov. 3), he flubbed the identity of Ricardo Adolfo de la Guardia, Panama's new President.
