Twenty months ago, sadfaced, crew-cropped Violinist Jascha Heifetz cast up his accounts. At 46, he had logged nearly 100,000 hours on his fiddle ("the equivalent of practically ten years of playing 24 hours a day") and traveled almost 2,000,000 miles.
