London's Times, Daily Express, Daily Telegraph and Financial Times last week inaugurated a new air-express delivery to the U.S. All morning papers, they appeared on Manhattan newsstands the afternoon of publication day, thanks to the five hours' difference in time between New York and London. None of the papers expected to gain much U.S. circulation; they had no newsprint to fill it if they did. But the estimated 1,300 copies being sent off were good publicity and a way of picking up a few Yankee dollars.
