Business: Cub's Big Brother

Piper Aircraft Corp., now turning out 700 Cubs and Cruisers a month, last week announced a new model, the four-passenger Skysedan.

The all-metal Skysedan will have a top speed of more than 160 m.p.h., a cruising speed of 140. Its 165-horsepower Continental engine will carry it 620 miles on 40 gallons of gas. Special features: a "turret-top" cabin roof for better visibility, and windshield wipers, first ever installed on a light plane.

Piper does not plan to be in production on the Skysedan before the middle of 1947. So the price will depend upon material and labor costs then. But the price will...
