George VI, King of Great Britain, is no Bing Crosby. But a long-standing joke around the palace, propagated by his horsy daughter Elizabeth, has been the King's bad luck on the track. Last week the joke had lost its point. "A most notable feature of the present racing season," reported the Times, "is the success of the King both as an owner and breeder."
