Increased production costs are driving up the price of U.S. newspapers.
This week the three Detroit papers (News, Free Press, Times) upped
their Sunday editions from 12¢ to 15¢, upped their weekday price to
5¢. In New York City last week, the Sun and the World-Telegram went to
5¢, made the city's evening papers unanimous.
