The Great Dan Patch (W. R. Frank; United Artists) is a sentimental, sway-backed horse opera about a champion pacer of the turn of the century, and the Hoosier hayseeds who bred and trained him. On the track Dan cuts a handsome and convincing figure, but the scriptwriter did him wrong by stuffing his feed bag.full of low grade Hollywood corn.
