Seven foreign military attachés, on an inspection tour through a Canadian artillery training center, were asked a recurring question: Did they think Russia had The Bomb yet? Their answers:
The American: "I haven't been to Russia."
The Chinese: "It's hard to say."
The Czechoslovak: "How should I know? I'm stationed at Ottawa."
The Frenchman: "I am not a Russian."
The Swiss: "All I can say is, we have no atomic bomb."
The Turk: "Myself, I'm for democracy."
The Briton: "I'm an old-fashioned gentleman who prefers not to be quoted."
