HEROES: In. Honored Glory

Some time late in 1949, the War Department announced last week, it will bring back from overseas the bodies of nine men, one from each operation area of World War II, From these nine, representing the 17,000 soldiers, sailors and marines whose bodies remain unidentified, one will be selected in strictest secrecy. This body will be buried beside the Unknown Soldier of World War I in the tomb at Arlington National Cemetery, beneath the inscription: "Here rests in honored glory an American soldier known but to God."
